TITHES & OFFERING
But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
Deuteronomy 8:18 KJV
LOG IN TO GIVE TITHES & OFFERING
The concept of giving God a portion of what you have received started at the beginning of time with Cain and Abel presenting offerings unto God.

The word tithes is the Hebrew word for tenth. Tithing is the act of giving one-tenth of your income to God’s church. Tithes are holy unto the Lord as we are told in Leviticus 27:30, “And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD'S: it is holy unto the LORD.”
In the years following the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt the law of tithes was developed. The Israelites would give the first fruit of their harvest back to God who provided them with the harvest. Giving God their first fruit was their way of giving thanks for the harvest and served as a reminder that all things that we have belong to God.
In Proverbs 3:9, we are told to “Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase.”In giving God our first fruit, our tithes, we show that we trust God with our finances, our lives and with everything He has blessed us with. It also reminds us to rely on God to meet our needs.
Although often grouped together tithes and offering are two different forms of giving. Tithing as explained earlier is the giving of one-tenth of money earned or received to God’s church while an offering is a gift of gratitude to God.
In Malachi 3, the prophet teaches us about the importance of giving tithes and offering and the blessings that we receive through our obedience:
Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts. And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the Lord of hosts.
Malachi 3:8-12 KJV

Your tithes and offering are used to support the church, its ministries, the congregants and associated institutions. This includes monthly utilities, members of staff, church projects, and the Early Childhood Institute, just to name a few.
As you give, let it not be for mere formalities but give with joy, honouring and thanking the Lord for all He has done for God loveth a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:7).
God Bless you all.
