About Ministry

Women are the backbone of our society. In order for any society to be successful and prosperous, women must be uplifted. When one is asked to describe a woman of God the virtuous woman of Proverbs 31 comes to mind.

The role of the women’s department is to empower and uplift the women of our church. This is accomplished by allowing women to use their diverse gifts and creating a safe place for ladies to access biblically-sound support while fostering fellowship and unity amongst the women.

The department also provides mentoring, encouragement and teaching regarding the Christian woman’s responsibility according to the Word.

Ultimately our aim is to help women come to Christ, grow in Christ and apply the gospel to their everyday lives.

About Our Leaders

President: Missionary Venesia Dixon-Smith

Missionary Venesia Dixon-Smith joined the Bethel Born Again family in 1986. Since being at Bethel, she became a member of group Confidence and was also a member of the senior choir, the Voices of the Overcomers. Missionary Dixon-Smith is currently the President of the Women’s Department, a member of the street meeting team and is also actively involved in the outreach department and group confidence. Venesia is a retired aviation firefighter who now enjoys gardening and spending time with those around her. She is known for her hospitality and loves reaching out to others. Missionary Dixon-Smith’s favourite Bible verse is Psalms 46:1,”God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”

Vice President: Missionary Caroleen Dalling

Missionary Caroleen Dalling has been a member of Bethel for over 25 years and faithfully
served the Lord ever since. Missionary Dalling is a member of the Voices of the Overcomers
choir and is currently one of the assistant presidents for the Women’s Department. She is also a
member of group confidence. Caroleen enjoys spending time with her loved ones and listening
to gospel music. Missy. Dalling’s favourite verse is Ephesians 3:20. It is her aim and desire to
continue to press towards the mark for the prize of the high calling in Christ Jesus.

Vice President: Evangelist Veronica Campbell

Evangelist Veronica Campbell is a longstanding member of Bethel Born Again, giving over 40
years in service. Over the years she has served in numerous departments such as the youth
department and choir. She is also a member of group faith. Evg. Campbell is the wife of our
Assistant Pastor Peter Campbell and currently serves as one of the Vice Presidents of the
Women’s Department. Outside of church, Veronica is the principal of the Bethel Born Again
Early Childhood Institute. She enjoys singing, spending time with her family and watching or
taking part in her favourite sport, netball. Evg. Campbell’s favourite Bible passages are Psalms
16 and 34 and she always greets persons saying, “Bless you!”
